LEADERSHIP TEAM
Bella Boutique is 100% volunteer run. Our volunteer Board and Committees are comprised of smart, talented people with a passion for giving these students the same experiences they had. Meet them, below.
Imani Williams
President
Imani is a Colorado native that has a passion for helping others. She is a doula and owns her own business, Birth in Black, which was created to help address Black maternal mortality rates. She likes to spend her free time enjoying Colorado's many sunny days with her rescue dogs, Cooper and Remy.
Imani first volunteered with Bella Boutique in the spring of 2020 and fell in love with everything Bella stands for. She is eager and excited to now work alongside the group of incredible women that make up the Bella Boutique team.
Ashley Sheehan
VP, Finance
Ashley was introduced to Bella Boutique in 2017 through a founding member of the Bella Boutique board. Bella Boutique's concept of giving students independence in choice and promoting self-worth is what drew her to volunteer. When a position opened in 2018 after volunteering with Bella, Ashley has remained a member of the board since. She has coordinated fundraisers, a short stint in grant writing and assists where is needed in the organization. Ashley also collaborated with students at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver resulting in an in- depth academic presentation about how Bella Boutique can continue to be successful serving students. Ashley enjoys cooking and being active outside of work and Bella.
Sam Thomas
VP, Marketing
Sam moved to Denver in 2022 and started volunteering at Bella Boutique right away. She is passionate about empowering young women which brought her to Bella Boutique as a volunteer, but she got so much fulfillment from uplifting the girls that come in that she joined the board during Prom season of 2023.
Outside of Bella Boutique, Sam is pursuing a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling with the goal of being an adolescent therapist. She loves to travel, go to sporting events, play volleyball, hike with her chihuahua, and cook!
Katie McDermott
Member at Large
Katie is originally from the Midwest and has been in the Denver Metro area for over 14 years. She is an Enviromental, Health, and Safety manager for a telecommunication company. Katie found Bella Boutique when she was looking for a place to donate formal dresses that would be put to good use/ After volunteering during a Homecoming season, she was enthusiastic about helping Bella Boutique in any way possible. When she is not at work or at Bella, she spends her free time handing out with her sweet pup, Harley Jane, and hiking.
Sally Shaughnessy
Member at Large
Sally came to Bella Boutique through her volunteering with the Junior League of Denver and very quickly decided to apply her professional skills to help grow the organization. Sally is an East Coast transplant working as a project manager in the marketing and technology space. She believes in improving communities through service and is incredibly passionate about helping families overcome financial struggles to allow their kids to simply be kids and celebrate these important school milestones.
